SanGria Resort And Spa

Ok..salah satu kunjungan jalan2 saya kali ini adalah SanGria Resort and Spa..
Ini adalah kunjunghan pertama saya di SanGria Resort and Spa..Sebenarnya SanGria Resort and Spa ini terletak di pinggir jalan. Tepatnya di Jl. Hortikultura, Lembang.

Let’s Go There...!!

Komodo National Park

Komodo National Park was established in 1980 and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1986. The total area of the park is 1,817 km², of which a third is terrestrial land areas, including the islands of Komodo, Rinca, Gili Mota, Nusa Kode and Padar, while the remaining area consists of marine waters, including coral reefs, sea grass beds, mangrove, and semi-enclosed bays.

After 10 years of work supporting the natural resources of Komodo National Park, The Nature Conservancy's Coral Triangle Centre (previously named South East Asia Centre for Marine Protected Areas) has successfully transferred its programme to a new eco-tourism development enterprise PT Putri Naga Komodo (PNK). This signifies the start of the Komodo Collaborative Management Initiative (KCMI), a path breaking model for saving Indonesia's national parks.

The new enterprise company is set up solely to develop eco-tourism, promote conservation activities, and to support natural resource management and park operations within the Komodo National Park. Although legally organised as a private company, PNK's charter provides that all revenues will be used to support the management and development of Komodo National Park and the development of alternative livelihoods and enterprises for local residents.

PNK is working closely with the Komodo National Park Authority, the District Government of West Manggarai, local communities, the tourism sector and other stakeholders. The goal is to implement an innovative and multi-disciplinary approach to achieve long-term financial sustainability of the park through professional park and conservtion management, sustainable eco-tourism development and destination marketing.

PNK-supported conservataion activities include a comprehensive set of biological monioring programmes for both the marine and terrestrial eco-systems of the park, including continuous assessment of resource use and tourism impacts. PNK will also undertake upgrading of eco-tourism infrastructure to improve safety and enhance the experience of those visiting the park.

The new company is Putri Naga Komodo or Dragon Princess, who in local legend was said to have given birth to twins - a human boy and a Komodo dragon, symbolising the essential identity of humans and nature. PNK has acquired a 30-year license from the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry to generate park revenues through the development and management of nature tourism in Komodo National Park. The new company is staffing up its key managerial positions while most of the Conservancy's Komodo Field Office staff have moved over to work with PNK.

To kick-start the project, PNK has obtained bridging funding from the World Bank's Global Environmental Facility. The 7 year US$ 5 million grant is provided through the World Bank's private sector financing arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) with matching funds from the Conservancy. By the end of the grant period (in 2012), it is expected that the park will be generating sufficient eco-tourism revenues to sustain ongoing management and conservation work.

Dragons On Land, Paradise Underwater

Approaching the islands of Komodo and Rinca on an Indonesian liveaboard boat, you will feel like one of the voyagers of old who gave fame to the islands by marking on a map "Here Be Dragons"!

Few places enjoy Komodo's reputation for being a remote and inspiring place and diving Komodo and the surrounding area evokes the same feelings. These small, brown scorched-earth islands fringed with sandy beaches are lapped by the clear waves of the national park, where you may even see the dragons patrolling the beach or viewing you from a high rocky outcrop.

Unlike other parts of Indonesia, the reefs around the south of the islands have suffered relatively little damage from dynamite fishing. Much of the area now lies within the protection of the national park. The shallow reefs between Flores and the northern region however, were bombed in the past but are now recovering their former splendour. The affected area covers around 15% of the archipelago, and even here steep drop-offs and current-swept points offer excellent Komodo diving.

Besides the sheer excitement of simply being somewhere like Komodo, you are also cruising over some of the most exciting dive sites in Indonesia. The water is not always warm, in fact it can be decidedly cool. The seas are not always calm, in fact the currents can rage. But the abundance of pelagics, more critters and interesting macro-action than you could imagine, the dazzling colours and diversity, make diving here truly the stuff of legend.

RINJANI NATIONAL PARK

This is my favorit place that I wanna go someday soon..Mt. Rinjani..
with a beautiful lake, nature, and panorama..

The national park extends over an area of 41,330 ha, with the surrounding protected forest covering 51,500 ha. Community based activities are conducted in conjunction with the Rinjani centre in Senaru. Mount Rinjani and Segara Anak Lake located in the north of Lombok 85 kilometers from Mataram.

Mt. Rinjani is the second highes peak in Indonesia standing at majestic 3726 meters, part of the celebrated ”ring of fire”. The dramatic landscape has been created over a millions of years of cone-building, violent explosions, and erosion. Forested slopes rising directly from the sea create their own weather pattern and act as water – collectors for the whole Lombok.

For the people of Lombok Sasak and Balinese alike, treat this mountain as a sacred place. They consider the Gods live at the summit of the mountain. One of the large craters called Segara Anak, located at 2000 meters above the sea level is the destination of many pilgrims, who make the annual trek up the step slopes in order to place offerings to the Gods in the lake it self. This magnificent crater lake now holds a new and active volcano, Mount Baru Jari which appeared this century. On the north side of the lake is a hot spring ( one of 4 Segara Anak hot springs found here) which is said to cure disease.

A model for echo tourism in Indonesia, It is trully an unforgetable experience to climb such impressive mountain as Rinjani and the 2 trek expeditions that offered and the spectacular scenery cwere contributing factors to Tinjani National Park winning the National Geographic World Tourism Award in 2004..

Fatahillah Museum

This museum is located at Jalan Taman Fatahillah No. 1, in down-town Jakarta and it is the oldest building in Jakarta. This building was originally used as Town Hall of Batavia, which was built and inaugurated in 1710. At first, activities in this building besides dealing with government affairs, also dealt with marriage, judicial and trade affairs, making people in the past know it as “Speaking Building”. After Indonesia gained its independence, the building was once used as Quarter of Military District 0503 of West Jakarta. Approaching 1970, it was preserved by Jakarta City Government and on April 4, 1974 it was officially made Museum of History of Jakarta.

The museum features the historical development of the city, using a display of various kinds of furniture, chinaware, a map of Jakarta from the 18th century, portraits of Batavia’s Governor General, European porcelains used by them, stoneware, old gravestones, kitchen utensils, coins, etc. There are among other, the replica of the Tugu Inscription from the age of Great King Purnawarman, forming evidence that the center of the Kingdom of Tarumanegara was located in around the seaport of Tanjung Priok. Further, the historical evidence of the age of Sunda Kelapa Harbour is represented by a map of the 16th century and the replica of the Padrao monument of the Portuguese. At The period of Jayakarta, and the beginning of the establishment of the City the Bronze cannon and through various drawings and maps of the 17th century. Collection of furniture of Betawi style from the 17th, 18th and 19th century is the richest collection and belongs to the most complete one in the world. This collection is very interesting since it’s reflects the association of the community of the City of Batavia with various cultural elements from Europe, especially Dutch, China, India and Indonesia.

An Old Portuguese cannon is in front of the museum with an inscription in Latin reading: Ex Me Ipsa Renata Sum (I am reborn from myself). Its exact origin is not known but people call the cannon “Si Jagur” and many believe that it possesses certain mystical powers. Childless women go there to make offerings of flowers, hoping to be blessed with children.

SETU BABAKAN

Setu Babakan is a great visage of the traditional life in Jakarta which is located in Srengseng Sawah district of South Jakarta.

A colourful kaleidoscope of tradition await every bisitor at this 66-hectare area known as Perkampungan Budaya Betawi or the Betawi Culture Preservation Village. Setu itself means a small lake used by the Betawis. As the name suggests, Setu Babakan is surrounded by an 18-hectare area of water which provides the tranquil setting for a meaningful and nuanced cultural exploration.Be prepared to get an awesome insight into the Betawi culture such as the lenong ( a traditional Betawi comedy play), topeng dance, Betawi traditional wedding and of course the iconic Ondel-ondel, a giant puppet dressed in a traditional Betawi costume with a colorful tinsel crown. In addition, explore a traditional Betawi house built back in the 1920s. Rent a duck boat to ride on the lake to complete your visit.

People here still speak the unique Betawi dialect, which is a conflation of Malay dialect influenced by the Balinese language for the grammar and Hokien Chinese for the vocabulary. Interact with the friendly Betawis and get up close and personal with their notable blend of music such as the Rebana, Keroncong and Samroh which are largely influenced by the Portuguese and Arabic.

Best time to visit is between June and July where special festivals are organised to commemorate Jakarta's anniversary.
